You may think: Why have I become like this? Why do things not turn out they way I expect? Why am I so unfortunate? Why am I so miserable in life? We complain about ourselves and others as well as about God. This is the kind of situation we are all likely to face in our lives because we live in an imperfect world. On the one hand, we face envy, rejection, exclusion and slander from others; on the other hand we are ourselves imperfect and have our own weaknesses and deficiencies. We inherit a sinful nature due to Adam’s fall. We have selfish and evil thoughts. We have both inferiorities and pride. We are limited in our abilities and wisdom. Our lives are also short. It’s very hard for us to overcome all the difficulties and dangers in life and become victorious in realizing our dreams by our own flesh. We wish we could receive unexpected help at the most critical time so that we could overcome the difficulties facing us. Are the good things in life free?
As a Chinese poem goes: I have been searching for him hundreds and thousands of time. Suddenly I turn back, finding him standing where the lights are waning. That person is the Lord Jesus. Jesus is the only one whom you can trust and rely on during difficult times. The God who gives encouragement to the distressed gave his only begotten son to us so that we will not be crushed by difficulties but overcome them through the power of his resurrection. Even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will enter the good land. This is the promise given to us by the Lord, who has already fulfilled this promise by rising from the dead. As long as we ask him for help, he will reach down on high and take hold of us; he will draw us out of deep water. He will enable us to stand on the heights and broaden the path beneath us. He will give us the power and wisdom to be overcomers. When we turn to God through prayer, although all odds are against us, he will be the shield around you, your strength and your salvation. The Lord himself goes before and fights for you. He will give you the victory above the enemies who surround us. He will bestow his glory on you and lift up your head. He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
The battle is not ours but God’s. There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord. God says: “I am God Almighty. Is there anything too hard for the Lord? ” I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he shall bring it to pass. Dear friend, when you call out aloud your victory, your faith will greatly increase. God will grant the desire of your heart according to your faith and prayers. Please say the following prayer out loud:
Dear Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus who loves us, I accept you as my personal savior. Please forgive all my sins. Thank you for shedding your innocent blood to make me clean. You rose from the dead so that I can lead a victorious life. Dear Holy Spirit, please fill me up and comfort my broken heart. Please guide me to walk in holiness and victory. I declare in Jesus name I am the beloved one of God. I have His wisdom and understanding. I am gentle but courageous. I am successful. I commit my family, marriage, work and study into God’s hands in the name of Jesus. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. I give all my worries, despair, difficulties and pressures to God, who will give me faith, joy, victory and freedom through the Holy Spirit. My dream will become a reality. My God is Almighty. He has overcome death and difficulties for me. He will lead me out of darkness into His light and give me sweeping victory. Amen!
